Lake Titicaca is a year-round destination with a stable climate and we have daily departures for this tour. The dry season (April to October) offers sunny days and clear skies, making it perfect for sightseeing. From January to February, occasional rain showers occur, but they don’t disrupt the experience—on the contrary, they add a mystical touch to the lake’s beauty. No matter when you visit, Titicaca always offers an unforgettable experience.
At 3,812 m (12,500 ft) above sea level, the lake’s altitude is high, but if you’ve already spent time in Cusco, you should be well-acclimated. The tour includes one short hike per day, but they are gentle and suitable for most travelers. While not strenuous, taking it slow and staying hydrated will ensure a comfortable experience.
Even though the days can be pleasant (around 10°C), nights can drop to 2°C, so warm clothing is essential. A windproof jacket, gloves, and a hat will keep you comfortable during the cooler hours.
The tour includes three meals, but breakfast on the first day and lunch on the last day are not covered. We recommend bringing at least $30 per person for meals, snacks, and any souvenirs. Small denominations of cash are best, as many local vendors do not accept cards.
